The recent passing of Senate Bill 212 has
determined that Home Inspectors in the state of
New Hampshire must be licensed. The law is quite
simple and will be expounded upon once the
members of a Home Inspectors Board have been
appointed. For now, in order to be licensed for
Home Inspections:
You must complete 80 hours of educational
instruction approved by the board, and
You must complete 20 hours of Continuing
Education (CE) per two (2) year licensing cycle.
Home Inspectors who have been practicing for at
least 12 months would be exempt from the 80
hours of education.
All Home Inspectors must have their licenses by
January 1, 2010.
