Ohio does not currently require Home Inspectors
to be licensed.
The fact that registration, certification or
licensing is not required does not alleviate you
of the responsibility to know what you are doing
and it is almost inevitable that legislation
will one day be a reality. You can be ahead of
the law by preparing yourself with the education
necessary to insure you can be licensed when it
becomes law, to assure your potential clients of
your ability to perform a meticulous and
accurate home inspection, and to be able to
advertise your education in order to attract new
business.
