Rhode Island enacted a licensing program,
Chapter 65.1, but has not been able to fund the
program as yet. When the law is funded, it will
require that all Home Inspectors be licensed and
will also require maintenance of $250,000.00
Liability Insurance. You would also have to pass
the NHIE, National Home Inspector Examination
and abide by the standards of practice and a
code of ethics.
