Under South Carolina’s Licensure Law, Title 40,
Chapter 59, Article 3, any person wishing to
become a licensed Home Inspector must file an
application with the South Carolina Residential
Builders Commission and be able to submit proof
that:
You have a minimum of one (1) year of
experience as a Home Inspector, under the direct
supervision of an already state licensed Home
Inspector.
You have performed a minimum of 50 residential
Home Inspections.
You are currently certified as a Home
Inspector through an organization that is
recognized by the Commission.
