Education is the key to your future. It not only opens many doors that otherwise would remain close but it helps you become a better person. For years we have been asked about what colleges to attend and what careers are going to be in demand in the future. One subject comes up 9 times out of 10 and that is “How do I pay for college?”
Not all students realize just how many governmental programs are available to them to assist with college tuition. The government has a vested interested in your education as you are the ones that will be running the country of the future and without the proper training and education the economy can not function properly.
The first, and probably the most well known way to pay for college, is to obtain a scholarship. Most students think that scholarships are only for those individuals who obtained a 4.0 in high school or scored a 1 billion on their SAT. While academic scores can get you scholarships so many other scholarships are available to students.
Did you know that a large percentage of scholarships go unclaimed each and every year? Have you ever taken a look at a national scholarship book? 1000’s upon 1000’s of pages of scholarships available to those who simple ask and fill out an application. Most of the criteria is simple. You must attend a school, you need to stay out of academic probation and most want you to declare a degree. An example would be Mr. Brown who owns a jewelry store wants to give back to his community so he goes to his closest college and tells them he wants to give 2 students a $500 scholarship for the upcoming school year. The only thing he asks is the student needs to keep a 2.5GPA and have a major in jewelry design. This is just one example of 1000’s ranging from business school, medical, dental, accounting, mechanics, you name it.
Bottom line is get a scholarship book or contact the links we have below and acquire a list. You can also request info from any of the schools on this site and ask them to send you info on what scholarships they have available.
Financial Aid is a governmental program that was started to help students go to school. The program has 2 sides. One side is a program where your current financial status or those of your parents are used to determine how much money you will get for free to attend a class or college.
The other side is where you can borrow money at very low interest rates for college and your payments do not begin until you graduate. You can use 1 or a combination of both to help finance your education. Bottom like on finance is that the funds are available to you to go to school; all you have to do is know where to look.
