Illinois Real Estate License Requirements

Illinois Real Estate Salesperson License
To receive your real estate salesperson license in Illinois you need to be at least 21 years of age and have graduated from high school or equivalent.  You’ll need to take and pass a 45 hour real estate transactions course and pass the state exam.

Illinois Broker License
For a broker’s license you must have completed at least 120 hours (45 are those required for the salesperson license) plus 15 hours in brokerage admin courses. You’ll then need to pass the course and state required exams. For continuing education and license renewals a salesperson no CE is required after 5/1/04. If you’re licensed before 4/30/03 you need 12 hours of CE.
