Mississippi Real Estate License Requirements

Mississippi Real Estate License
To obtain a Salespersons License in Mississippi you must be 18 years of age or older and be a resident of Mississippi when the application is submitted to the state. You must finish 60 hours of state approved pre-license education and pass that state exam with a 75% or higher grade. The application fee is only $120 to get your license. If you hold a real estate license from another state be sure to include a copy of that with your application

Broker License in Mississippi
Unlike the real estate salesperson license, your must be 21 years of age or older to receive your broker license. You must have been a real estate salesperson for at least 12 months prior to the application of your brokers license. You will need to complete 120 hours of approved hours of real estate courses as well as pass the state exam.

Continuing Education – Every 2 years you must complete 16 hours of state approved courses. Of which 8 hours must include: Mississippi License and Law, Contract Law and Agency Law. The remaining 8 hours can be elective courses.

Because state policies can change without notice we recommend that you follow up with the state in which you wish to receive your license in and verify all of the state rules, regulations and educational requirements. If you find that any of the information on this site is incorrect please e-mail us so we can correct it immediately.
