Psychology (CSPP) and United
States International University

Business Administration
(Bachelor's)

coursework in this program will
provide you with a thorough
grounding in the basic concepts
of business and corporations,
and will ensure that you build

This program, developed by the
Center for Undergraduate
Education in collaboration with
the Marshall Goldsmith School of
Management, our graduate school
of business, places a strong
emphasis on practical
application of knowledge
learned. You become familiar
with a broad range of typical
situations in business and
management, preparing you for a
career in international and
multicultural environments.
And the program’s curriculum is
designed to be responsive to
market needs, today and in the
future. In addition, you will
have the opportunity to gain
hands-on experience by doing an
internship in the industry,
thereby remaining up-to-date
with the latest developments.
Communication Marketing
Public Relations (Bachelor's)
The Bachelor of Arts in
Communication: Marketing &
Public Relations prepares
students for advanced study and
entry-level professional
positions. Because of its
inherent interdisciplinary
nature, the program is made up
of courses that are taught
collaboratively by professors
from across such disciplines as
communication, psychology,
marketing, public relations, and
writing.
Integrated capstone and
internship components allow
students to actually practice
their skills through a series of
applied experiences. The program
is designed to provide students
with the expertise to help
businesses leverage their public
relations functions in their
attempts to enhance their

Hotel Restaurant Management
(Bachelor's)
Complete the Hotel and
Restaurant Management bachelors
degree program at Alliant
International University and
you’ll be ready with the
technical skills and an
appreciation for differences in
people that are needed to
succeed in the exciting
hospitality industry. The
curriculum for this program,
which is offered on Alliant's
Scripps Ranch Campus in San
Diego, was developed in close
consultation with professionals
in the hotel and restaurant
industry, those who have an
intimate knowledge of what is
needed in that field. Thus, you
can be confident that your
preparation will be thorough and
up-to-the-minute, in line with
realities out in this
ever-growing and ever-changing
field.
To gain work experience you will
complete 1000 hours of work
experience in the hospitality
industry. Some students work
part-time during the school
year, while others work during
the summer. International
students have the option to
apply for a one-year practical
experience in the United States
after graduation, a valuable
opportunity is valuable to gain
work experience in the United
States before returning to their
home country.
International Business
Administration (Bachelor's)
Recognizing that the growing
economic interdependence between
nations has created an acute
need for international course
offerings and knowing the
growing worldwide demand for
graduates with greater
managerial capability in
transnational business and
economics, the Division of
Business and Management of the
Marshall Goldsmith School of
Management at Alliant
International University has
collaborated with the Center for
Undergraduate Education to
develop the Bachelor of Science
in International Business
Administration.
This degree program will provide
you with the both knowledge and
skills you need to succeed in
your career. Practical
application of what has been
learned in the classroom
receives a very strong emphasis.
International Relations
(Bachelor's)
Studying International Relations
at Alliant provides you with
knowledge and training important
in the international business
community, government,
diplomacy, and private and
non-governmental international
organizations. It can also help
prepare students for further
graduate study in international
relations, international law,
political science, or policy
studies.
Management (Bachelor's)
The Alliant management program,
developed by the Center for
Undergraduate Education in
collaboration with the Marshall
Goldsmith School of Management,
our graduate school of business,
will train you as a future
manager! You will be ready to
respond confidently to the
growing world-wide demand for
business school graduates.
The setting is an international
and cross-cultural environment
where you are exposed to many
cultures of the world. Students
in the management program may
become members in Sigma Iota
Epsilon, the honorary management
fraternity of the Academy of
Management which has a local San
Diego chapter at Alliant.
Professors combine relevant
industry experience with strong
academic credentials. Alliant
business, management, and
organizational studies
professors are active in
research and consulting in their
areas of specialization.
Distinguished Professor H. Igor
Ansoff, widely known as the
“Father of Strategic Management”
was one of Alliant professors
for eighteen years. Also,
Abraham Maslow was a visiting
professor at Alliant.
Psychology (Bachelor's)
To complete your bachelor’s
degree, come to Alliant where
more than one-third of
California’s licensed
psychologists are trained. The
newly-designed degree completion
program allows you to specialize
in one or more of three
concentrations - including
Clinical Psychology, Industrial
Organizational Psychology, and
Marriage and Family Therapy.
Each concentration leads to
immediate career opportunities
as well as to a streamlined
transition into a graduate
program. The BA completion
program also provides
opportunities to take
graduate-level courses while you
are still an undergraduate.
The Bachelor of Arts in
Psychology is designed to follow
the American Psychological
Association’s recommended
guidelines for psychology
majors. After completing a
common core, you will select one
or two of the concentrations
listed below. If you choose to
continue on to graduate school,
you will already enjoy an
important connection with
graduate faculty and students in
at least one of Alliant’s highly
regarded graduate schools at
Alliant, including California
School of Professional
Psychology; Marshall Goldsmith
School of Management; or the
Graduate School of Education.
A unique component of the
program is its three-semester
capstone series which will
emphasize practical training and
provide hands-on experience,
something not typical of most
undergraduate psychology

Liberal Studies (Bachelor's)
The Liberal Studies major is a
two-year degree completion
program which prepares students
to enter a teacher education
program, such as the one offered
in the Graduate School of
Education at Alliant, which
infuses the curriculum with
multicultural content, the
latest instructional technology,
mentoring of diverse student
populations, and comprehensive
community service. A new program
is under development which will
focus especially on preparing
future middle school teachers of
English and math.
In addition, the Liberal Studies
major allows students to adapt
their education to a variety of
paths other than teaching.
Students can choose a
concentration from any of the
majors offered at Alliant,
including business,
communication, international
relations, and psychology. All
of these concentrations
emphasize a strong professional
practice approach which includes
substantial practical, hands-on
training in the types of
internship opportunities more
often found in graduate
programs.
Information Systems
Technology (Bachelor's)
The Information Systems and
Technology bachelors degree
program, developed by Alliant's
Center for Undergraduate
Education in collaboration with
the Marshall Goldsmith School of
Management, our graduate school
of business, will prepare you
for a wide range of jobs in the
marketplace demanding systems
and technology skills.
In today’s industry, you’ll find
that technology interfaces with
business tasks in every function
and department. Graduates may
hold positions such as system
analysts, network specialists,
IS managers, database
administrators, data center
managers, and applications
developers.
