Animation Mentor is by
animators, for animators. It is
the only animation school built
by professional animators
specifically for people who want
to become character animators.
During the 18-month online
animation program (six 12-week
quarters), students are taught
the skills necessary to obtain a
job in character animation. We
train students in a real-world
environment so they are ready to
step into a production job with
a demo reel upon graduation. Our
graduates are contributing to
the creative and technical
advances in many facets of the
industry, including feature
films and video games.
Students need to have the
passion, self-motivation, and
time to take full advantage of
the 18-month character animation
program. A background in art or
animation is not required, but
is helpful. Some of our students
have previously attended
animation colleges or
universities. Students must be
able to creatively interpret the
world around them to be
successful with our program. Our
animation classes our based on
the industry standard software
program Maya. We do offer a
beginning Maya workshop to
prepare students for the
program.
