BA in Homeland Security
Corporate Management and
Assessment (Degree Completion)
The Bachelor of Arts degree in
Corporate Homeland Security
Management has been developed to
meet the educational needs of
non-traditional students
returning to college to complete
a degree at times convenient to
their busy schedules. This
unique program features
cohort-based instruction aimed
at individuals over 23 years of
age who have at least two years
of college credit.
The student typically will have
completed 40 - 60 credit hours
of college credit before
commencement of professional
course work. Exceptions to these
criteria may be made on a
case-by-case basis as judged by
a program admissions committee.
The modular sequence of the
upper-level courses recognizes
the needs and characteristics of
adult learners while emphasizing
themes such as problem solving,
critical thinking,
self-analysis, communication,
and ethical decision-making.
Specifically, this program is
designed to prepare Corporate
Homeland Security professionals
who are equipped with the
knowledge and skills necessary
to function as managers of
corporate or industrial security
programs and who are
knowledgeable in
state-of-the-art vulnerability
assessment, risk management,
consequence management, disaster
recovery, and continuity
techniques and technologies.
Today's Corporate Homeland
Security Managers must not only
respond to the challenge of
recruiting and retaining talent,
they must also understand
federal, state, and local
regulations, processes and
resources so that they may
assure not only corporate
compliance but also corporate
responsibility to the local
community.
BA in Organizational
Administration and Leadership
(Degree Completion)
Midway College's BA in
Organizational Administration
and Leadership degree completion
program is essentially an
opportunity for individuals to
succeed. From the initial step
of re-enrolling in an academic
environment to attain a degree
to the actual subjects being
studied, the entire program will
heighten a student's confidence
and abilities in a modern
professional environment.
Courses included are designed to
build a solid foundation for
future leadership in business
and other organizations, and
range from analyzing business
tactics and finances to
mastering computer skills and
interpersonal relationships. All
of this is tied together with
the program's emphasis on
studying ethical standards and
best business practices.
The program consists of 42
course hours and nine additional
hours of supporting requirements
(including accounting, gender
issues and economics), which
when combined with general
education requirements - often
from previous attempts at a
college degree - add up to a
Bachelor of Arts in
Organizational Administration
and Leadership.
