Additionally, OIT's program also requires a three term Senior Project sequence where students are able to pursue their individual interests within the field of IT. In order to provide the most access to coursework OIT offers three, 10-week quarters and an 8-week summer term. The Information Technology Applications Development Option focuses on the acquisition of theory and technical competencies to prepare you for successful careers in Application Development, Network Administration, Systems Analysis, Database Administration, or Technical Support. The curriculum is designed to produce graduates with advanced problem solving competencies, good communication skills and the hands-on technical knowledge necessary for success in the workplace or further graduate education. Many of our graduates pursue further work in graduate programs.There is a strong management component in the program that provides you with industry required background in business organization and management.

Operations Management (OM) concerns itself with the management of materials, resources and information toward meeting specific internal and external customer requirements. The Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Management provides you with a strong theoretical foundation coupled with a focus on applied problem-solving experiences. As with all of OIT's programs, the faculty has industry experience – and our faculty address issues related to productivity, management, quality control and team-based operations environments.

You will develop a mastery of concepts, tools and skills in management sciences and specialties. A main emphasis will be the development of your ability to significantly improve the productivity of quality-oriented environments. Additionally, you will learn skills for managing effectively in a team-based work environment.
