Bachelor of Computer Information Systems
The Computer Information Systems field emphasizes the use of computer systems to solve business problems. Graduates of the program can be expected to pursue careers as programmers, programmer/analysts, and systems analysts. Entrance Requirements for Bachelor of CIS degree program - An Associate of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems (90 quarter hours) or approved equivalent from an accredited institution to include the courses listed below. (minimum GPA 2.0)
Bachelor of Computer Science
This program is designed to work in conjunction with the associate degree choice of the student to gain entry or increase his/her opportunity for promotion in his/her field. Students will acquire skills in software development, Internet communications, network administration and database administration, as well as foundational knowledge in the field of computer science.
Computer Programming | Associate Of Applied Science Degree
Students in this program acquire skills in programming and systems analysis and design. Instruction in multiple programming languages provides students with diverse and flexible skill sets for employability in a variety of types of businesses and industries in positions such as programmers, developers, and systems analysts.
Computer Programming : Java Option | Associate Of Applied Science Degree
Students in this program acquire skills in programming and systems analysis and design based on the curriculum developed under the Sun/Java Academic Initiative. This program concentrates instruction with the Java programming language while also introducing the student to C++ and VisualBASIC programming concepts. The knowledge gained in this program provides students with the skill sets for employability in a variety of types of businesses and industries in positions such as programmers, developers, and systems analysts. |

Computer Electronics Engineering Technology
This major offers instruction in the practical aspects of computer and network maintenance and repair with emphasis on logical troubleshooting techniques.
Students are prepared for entry-level positions such as electronics technician, desktop support specialist, systems coordinator, and field technician.
The core courses provide students with a foundation in analog and digital electronics fundamentals, while advanced technical courses provide knowledge in specialized network and infrastructure technology such as fiber optics.
IT/Networking & Security Management
The Information Technology/Networking & Security Management major provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary for graduates to acquire entry-level training-related employment as a network security specialist in a variety of settings including:
