Elementary school Teacher - Instruct one class and teach them several different subject matters. Some schools will have more than 1 teacher per class and break the room down into groups. This allows for the separation of students if needed as well as the ability to give special help or attention to a particular group that is either excelling or falling behind on their work.
Middle School Teachers - Mainly these teachers will concentrate on a given subject matter and expose the student to many different areas including math, biology, history, english and computers. They have the ability to work with individual students more since they typically have a smaller group of students in their classroom for up to an hour.
