This campus is located in the heart of downtown Portland, which is Oregon’s largest city. The University of Oregon at Eugene is considered to be a public research based institution. This university, which is located between the Cascade Mountains and the Pacific Ocean, provides many extracurricular activities for students to pursue. Although you can pursue almost any field of study, the most popular choices among students at this institution are majors in journalism, political science, business administration, and psychology.

Another viable option that you will likely want to consider is Oregon State University. Although this institution began as a private school, it is now categorized as a public college. Located in the town of Corvallis, you can choose from over 200 undergraduate degree programs and about 80 graduate degree programs in practically any field of study that you find desirable. In addition, this institution has several programs that are nationally ranked: forestry, pharmacy, engineering, and environmental sciences. Another popular option in the state of Oregon is Southern Oregon University, which is located in Ashland. This university has a fairly small enrollment and is located in the foothills of the Siskiyou Mountains. At this university you will have the option to pursue many different fields of study at an undergraduate degree level or at a graduate degree level. In addition, this institution offers about 100 fields of study that fall into about 34 major areas.
